When I'm talking on my Treo650 with a low battery, the Treo will actually power of the phone during a call.

    That's fine.

What I'd like, though, is to know that the phone is about to turn off. So I don't talk for 5 minutes into a paper weight. I know the Treo displays a popup saying the battery's low and that the phone will power off, but, I can't see it when I'm on the phone. And, there is no audible tone when this is about to happen.

Is there some app that will give an audible tone in the earpiece for this situation?

Well, I gave it a try....I started getting crashes a few times a day that I didn't get before. So, I disabled it and had no crashes for a day. Then I re-enabled it and started getting the crashes again.

Have you used it on a Treo 650?

BTW...does anyone nave a user guide for ProfeoSA? I didn't see one on the website and one didn't come in the download.

What is this and what's it used for?:
    'daily user alarm reset'
    'subtle notifications'
    'Enable real-time checks'

and (most inportantly for what I need)

'OS low bat warning' options 'Leave' vs. 'Trap' vs. 'Disable'

    Thanks!

I'm not trying to be smart, but do you charge up your phone each night? I wouldn't think that the 650 would run a battery down in a day of use, but it might. Treos have LiIon batteries and it is much better for the battery to keep it topped off instead of letting it run down. Maybe you have a weak battery. They are available for cheap on Ebay.

I really like CallGuard (freeware available on MyTreo.net). You can set it to vibrate momentarily (0.25 seconds) when your call connects and when it breaks. This has saved me chatting away on a dead phone on more than one occasion.

Hmmm...just tried it on my Treo650. It didn't do anything.

Never mind...I decided to actually read the instructions! A soft reset was needed after install. Works now...thanks!

I'm trying ProfeoSA again and I seem to have it working. I now get the pop-up dialog for the battery alarms I have set. But, even though I have the "sound" box checked for each alarm, I do not get the sound...only the pop-up. Any ideas on how I can get the sound to work as well?
