I have to give a shout out to SafeGaurd by (By GoTreo) . (Also i dont work for them and I am not getting paid by them . )

I was installing the update for on demand / express to get the free Casino Game mentioned in the other thread on this page. Well after isntalling Express my Centro reset and after the first reset it just went to another reset and all I could say way " Im stuck in a loop" Here I am going to have to Hard Reset and restore from backup But after the 2nd reset Safeguard poped on and said ( I forget the exact words) " Safeguard had detected a reset loop. would you like to correct it" I chose yes and it reset and after the next reset safeguard came back on and said something to the afect of killing the reset issue and it came back to the normal logon screen and all is well. Safeguard saved the day , killed the reset loop and I for one feel it was worth the money . abosiutley terriffic. Thanks Safeguard.

I am very happy SafeGuard saved the day for you! I should have created this application years ago. Too many Treo's have been replaced because of software problems just like you experienced.

    Thanks for sharing your story!

Does anyone else experience where SafeGuard keep loosing the key? Mine keeps loosing the key every few weeks and goes back to trial mode and then it eventually expire, warning me that it is expired, so I have to re-enter the key.

Not here either, you might want to uninstall it, reset your Treo, & add it back on. You might have a small bug...

    I have version S2.04 b2.36

I wonder if it is this specific version that have the issue.

Dude, update to the latest version. The earlier versions had a lot of bugs. Jeff worked hard to debug it and now 2.10 b2.41 is very solid and stable. Speaking of Jeff, has anyone heard from him or seen him post anywhere. Some of his customers are complaining about no responses to emails and no responses in the forums.

Mine lost the key too. It happened yesterday. I did a soft reset and then safeguard popped up with an expired key message. I had to dig up my key and enter it.

    Btw...I have the current version, s2.10 b2.41

Word is Jeff is now working on WM platform, so I guess GoTreo is moving on...

If you are loosing your key, it may be due to your HotSync ID and the file the stores the HotSync ID.

I am starting to develop for WM but for the last 5 weeks have been stopped in my tracks with 3 herniated disks in my neck. Just had surgery yesterday and should be back at the keyboard full time sometime next week. Sorry to all those looking for support in the near past. The disks were pressing on a nerve that caused my entire left arm to loose all its feeling and strength. Just now starting to get some feeling and strength back following the surgery.

I was worried about you Jeff. Knew it wasn't like you to suddenly be nonresponsive. Hope your recovery is speedy.

sg seems to make my 755 take a very long time to awake from sleep (blank screen). Like others I have turned it off. Would love to have this issue addressed.

Have you looked at SG's performance log? Also, if you are using any HEDE applications, you will see a performance improvement if you turn off SG's Palm Crash Monitor. This has been explained in almost every forum thread and in the SG user manual.

thanks Jeff but I do have a few questions where do I find the sg performance log? what are HEDE apps? if I stop monitering palm events what use is your app given that all my crashes are from palm apps not from the phone. Based on posts on the 755 room more expert users than I have decided to regretfully do without your app owing to the wake up lag. Please tell me if I am incorrect.

The wakeup lag is worth it, if you have an unstable device. The crash monitor will save you time with resets and selecting the troublesome app. If you have a stable device, turn the crash monitor off and then there is no lag.

@ BB, Here is a good article by Rob Johnson from Hobbyist Software about Hede:

    http://www.hobbyistsoftware.com/Insi...tion-speed.php

Scroll down about a third way down the page and that is where the hede topic is discussed.
