Have you tried it yet? Any opinions?

Actually I use Mundu, but I installed it & its not bad(yet). I haven't fully tested yet, but when I used it, it seemed to work fine.

    Welcome to the party ;-)

I had inconsistent results with WebMessenger. Sometimes it worked very well, sometimes it dropped messages on me. And it seemed to work very much way way or the other on a given day, ie: it might run perfect for a few days then runs badly the next.

Makes me think it's a server problem, but not sure.. Overall, I was fairly happy with it, just might want to consider monitoring it. On another client, send yourself a message every so often to make sure you're really online!

Well, I will give it a go on my Centro, and see how it works with my little buddy.

For me, it's been the -most- stable IM client on my 755p.

There is -one- caveat that I have found tho.

Eventually, it will start to lock up. If you delete the message history file, things work just fine. Might be a bug with the build I'm using - not sure how to check for updates yet. Will have to email their support.

Love webmessenger tho. Works really well.

It "generally' works fine. Better than Mundu worked for me, but not nearly as well as the almighty Verichat (RIP).
It seems to me that the connection just dies out on the Treo. I'm still on-line according to my buddies but I don't get the messages. When I go back into the application it often doesn't reconnect automatically and I have to do it manually.

I use Webmessenger and it works most of the time. The only caveat for me is a I have to remember to run the gui every few hours to make sure the connection doesn't get hung up. If I don't it won't always alert me on incoming messages until I re-connect.

I find this tends to be because of the PALM network connection limitiation and the fact that Webmessenger is network only and doesn't fall back to SMS like Verichat did. If the ATT client wasn't so damn slow, I would use it instead because of the better background support.

Well, it's working great on my Centro, and I like how you can have different provider IM's in one page.

Are there any usage charges from the service provider (Sprint, in my case) when using WebMessenger? Does this use internet traffice or SMS?

    Thanks,
    Bob Meyer
I'm out of my mind. But feel free to leave a message.
