I was just checking, and the Updates, Utilities, and Patches site at Handspring.com has been reformatted and has some new patches for the Platinum and Prism. It seems Platinum and Prism owners can update to 3.5.2 . Also Prism owners can download some Contrast Utility.
Nothing new for VDx owners though. http://support.handspring.com/esuppo...p?Type=Updates

The new site doesn't show dates. Since I am a VDx owner, I guess I only think they're new.

He's talking about the freaky workaround that Prism users originally had to do to adjust contrast. It involved changing the date to some 1901 date which made the brightness control a contrast control (which could reduce/eliminate a flicker/shimmer effect). Now it appears that Handspring has responded with a real contrast control.

That's really wierd. Isn't there a contrast icon on the graffiti area?

    Not on the Prisms.

I've installed both on my Prism and they appear to work fine. The contrast utility sure beats the wacky workaround of resetting my Prism's date.
