    An easy question I hope... :-)

    There has got to be a more expedient way to disconnect than jumping out to Treo Prefs/Network to access the Disconnect command

    Would someone please enlighten me if there is

    There are a number of apps to handle this. You just have to look around or Google it.

    One is shareware PowerHero, another is a little freeware app called Reset Netlib. You can set Reset Netlib to a hard button and it does work on a 700p....

    I went googling for Netlib after seeing it in a thread when searching on the topic - I followed several google hits but none of them turned up a site I could get to from my corporate computer and I forgot about following up on the topic from home.

    Yes, you should disconnect whenever you are not using the web, once the connection becomes dormant, the reconnection most of the time does not work (long freeze!) and it would have to to reconnect anyways.
