I have a 700p from sprint and a gmail account. I was able to IMAP my emails to my treo but not all my folders are appearing on the treo. For one, I unable to see the sent folder. Does anyone know why this is or how to fix it?

Is the another email program that I can use on the treo that is not as limted?
Also, it times out when it's pulling emails, where I have to press get a couple times to get all my emails...one time it might get two and the other it might get one until I get them all. Is there a fix for this?

I think most people will recommend Chatteremail (get it from the Palm site) or SnapperMail. I am a longtime Chatter user and have no complaints about its ability to handle IMAP accounts.

However further Chatter support/development was stopped because the developer got hired by Palm to work for them on something "new"

Ode to the Treo Pro: you had to look so good, you had to be HTC in disguise...

Sprint users can download their e-mail client for free. Either sign into the Sprint web site with your PC and go to the digital lounge, or use your phone web browser and go home to the "vision" site and select downloads and "chat & e-mail", or some such.

The "Sprint (R) Mobile Email (AOL, Gmail, MSN, Yahoo! and more)" application works great with Gmail via IMAP.

One caveat, after I install this app, I do notice some instability, especially related to SMS Messaging. I am not sure if the frequency of resets is related to the number of accounts configured in the Sprint e-mail client, or the number of messages in your Inbox(es), or what. I am currently using the Sprint e-mail client for my PCS mail and have only had a few resets. Not bad considering how many problems I have had with this 700p.

Even though no new functionality is being added it's still supported. IMHO, it's by far still the best out there.

Also, overall I wouldn't be surprised if significant product enhancements started to decline for all Palm OS apps.

Even though development of Chatteremail has stopped, support has not and it is still the best out there. Ben

I have Chatter and it seems that there is a newer version on the Palm site then what I have on my phone.. How do I get the newer version.. the Auto Update stopped working ever since he was hired by Palm.. I just assumed that meant that there were no more updates.. Any idea??

You can go with the upgrade version. The actual files are the same with the upgrade and full versions. The full zip just contains some additional .PDF documentation. Otherwise the files are all the same.

I'd stay with version 3.0.9. Mark recommends this too unless you're having issues with gmail. Then upgrade to the latest.
