I've been using Takephone for a long time and never seen this.

Are you using the latest TP? Also when does this occur? When you go to the takephone dial screen, during a call, etc?

I'm not seeing this. I had turned the keyboard lights completely off with Power Hero, but I just now turned them back on, launched Takephone and my keyboard lights were working fine.

I have ZLauncher as well and that shouldn't cause any conflict either. Do you have Power Hero? Maybe you've turned the lights off with this or some other app and forgot? Or did so unintentionally?

    No power hero.
Also, I notice a delay on the keygaurd pop up when I wake the Treo from "hibernating", dont know the right term. Maybe waking from standby is a better term.

Maybe you have an app that is trying to modify the keylock in some regard and having problems?

Butler, Palm Revolt, I'm not sure what other apps mess with the keylock (I use both of these apps though and don't have problems).

    Everything is back to normal.

I just used the text menu and now the lights come on like they use to........

Palm is still better than WM6 or any other Windows junk though. I can deal with buggy-ness.

So this AM it quit again. but I found the culprit..........

An APP called BrightCam was causing all of this.

Ah yeah, that app determines when/how bright to set keyboard and screen backlights.

So glad you figured it out and that things are back to normal!

Actually Im the real problem. I start to get bored with the phone so I go and search out more programs to screw around with and before i know it Ive installed two or three APPs and things start acting different.
Just imagine how damaged my IPhone will be when it comes out in CDMA.
