    The first pic I posted is what is says for my Gateway MT6728 and also my Gateway MX3225.

    See thats exactly what I meant by my statement above. Using that feature tends to remove the drivers of your usb flash card so that you most likely have to restart the computer in order to install them again.

    I guess different notebooks all have their own setups. My IBM Thinkpad does not operate that way, I use Safely Remove tool all the time, for any type of external drive and it always recognizes it next time I insert; and I have not rebooted now for 5 weeks.
