I just restored my Treo and got the standard treo ringtones, but I had about 20 custom tones that I can't get out of my old "Midi Ring Tones" file. Some of those tones are quite old and I cant find them again, is there a way to extract the midis out of the old file? I have my old larger Midi Ring Tones file backed up, I just need to know how to get the midis out of there. FYI, I dont have another treo to use to beam them to each other.

I dont want to load the whole file on this treo cause my old file I have been using since my Treo 600 days and I dont want to lose any of the new tones I have now. Does anyone know?

Cool beans! I never knew such a tool existed! This worked exellent, but for some reason my old Midi Ring Tones file didnt have the one last ringtone I was pining for. Its called Attraction and it was from an old Nokia. But I finally found it on the following page: http://nokia.itmakesmemad.com/ringtones/

It and some other Nokia tones are on there. I just need to get my mortal combat and pacman from Mr. Atari and I'm set. Thanks a bunch! =)

I am shocked that you are not using a ring tone management application. I have also used Midi for HoHo and it does the job as described above. Ben

I am using Ringo. But alot of my custom ringtones for the people in my address book all exist within the Palm Midi Ring Tones file on the treo itself.

I use a few mp3s as my main ringtone though.
