I've set up my favorites using TAKEphone's "Speed Dial" setup. When i'm in Takephone, and use one of my favorites, say "W" for Web(Blazer), it works and I go to the Web. However, if i'm in 2Day or the Palm OS Applications page and click a favorite/hotkey letter, it doesn't take me to the designated area, but takes me to the original Palm dialpad and just stops there. Also does that when in Chatter.

Is this normal behavior? Anyway to launch the favorites from any application? If I remember correctly, I was able to launch favorites via Chatter, at some point.

Have you thought about using Hi-Launcher from RNS software? It's not necessarily a hotkey function, but it will launch whatever you want, even games in sub-menus, on top of whatever application you're in (it just pops up on top). I couldn't live without it at this point. I'll point you to a thread here at TC that talks about it: http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=158997

Figured it out. I did a selective restore via NVBackup on Monday. I did not select to restore something like "PhoneFavoritesDB". I just restored that and i'm able to launch via a hotkey or whatever, from any app.

Christie: I do use Hi-Launcher and am quite happy with it. Great program.

It's not working, again. Cannon launch a hotkey/favorite from any app, except TakePhone. I can launch a hotkey/favorite from any app if I hold the Menu than the appropriate letter key, which isn't helpful, b/c it's a little harder to do. Not exactly a "hot" key.

From your description it seems there's something wrong with whatever utility you're using to allow for HotKey use in any app (by default the hotkeys only work within the PHONE app. To have it working in any other app you need 3rd party utilities such as Butler, HL, etc.).

It works in TAKEphONE cause TAKEphONE implements the HotKeys mechanism itself.
