    So I know that palm initially said they wont be supporting "my location" but I found this article saying that they may

    Does anyone know when google maps "my location" may come available for the 700p if at all?

    The service is in beta and is currently compatible with the Treo 750, 500v and 700wx models.

    That was the last line of the link. . . . . all WM devices. I believe it has something to do with how the respective OSes acquire and store tower information that "My Location" can than use to triangulate your position. FrankenGarnet apparently does not have the heart for it.

    Palm does have the ability to use that feature but something in the programing that palm won't give to google to allow it to work.. sucks because that would kinda be a cool feature.

    The original story was that Palm wouldn't give Google open source codes. However, Palm then came back and said that it indeed would open the information. However, from what I understand the only phone equipped to work with it, besides the WM devices is the Centro. Of course, there are all sorts of rumors about all this, so its anyone's guess.
