This is kind of weird, but yesterday, I had almost 36 mb free on my 700P. Tried to send a large e-mail through chatter, and I deleted it while sending. Then deleted a program, and now I have 34 mb free. I have cleared the dbcache, soft reset about 8 times, and cant find my 2 mb.

    Any thoughts out there?

    Thanks.

Have you used FileZ to review what is in internal memory?

Sort of. Under Launcher X I am not seeing anything that is that large. I have checked the e-mail files in filez and still nothing that is 2mb.

I also, now that I think about it, tried to access a file from blazer, using the file:/// command, and think I messed up the command. But I have cleared the cache in blazer.

That is a ChatterEmail file. Have you tried the Email box utilities within ChatterEmail?

Well, thanks for the tip. I went to the trusty Chatteremail manual, found out how to use console, and deleted the attachments stored in ram. Not only did I find the 2mb I lost, but I had 10 attachments, and gained a total of about 4 mb.

Again, thanks for the tip. I guess, even storing the e-mail on the card requires some ram housecleaning every once and a while.

sorry to bug you all. I know this is very basic but is there a way to store emails on an SD card like Esqire1996 said? Also what is a chatteremail? something to do with Versamail? Thanks~

Chattermail was a 3rd party email program with many more features than the stock VersaMail. I say was because Marc the developer was hired by Palm and the software is now for sale on the Palm website. I assume it has this store to SD card function, since Esquire posts that they have that ability.

Chatteremail does have this ability both as a default or to be set for specific accounts. This program, in my opinion, is much for feature rich than versamail. I stopped using versamail after about one week, since it never notified me of new e-mail.

    Chatteremail has been perfect.
