Do you use POP access? If so, that would happen to me when I sent email from the web client of Gmail (it would show as a new message on the phone). The reason for this is that Gmail stores ALL mail in one folder (actually, much easier to archive all of your email that way) so when POP3 looks for new mail it sees your sent mail as a new message.

The only way to avoid this is to update the Versamail with the patch that was posted last week and use IMAP for Gmail. If you create a new account in newer versamail it will automatically use IMAP.

I like using imap because the mailing lists I keep out of my inbox (I filter them directly to all mail) no longer come to my phone!

    Hope this helps.
