Are you asking about Winamp mobile or Kinoma player? I own the Kinoma player and love it, it is excellent for audio and video and has a built in streaming radio library. Now what is the winamp mobile that you are speaking of, I am interested.

Wiamp Mobile is an extension of Winamp that accesses your music on your hard drive and plays via Kinoma. Go to Winamp Mobile for more info...

Yes, thank you; I just found that site. So how secure is that do you think, to let your computer be remotely accessed, any thoughts?

It's possible that someone will find a security hole in Orb or Winamp Remote (which is a re-labeled version of Orb), but in general using Orb shouldn't make your PC less secure.

BTW, since Winamp Remote is in beta, you might want to use the non-beta Orb for now since they're effectively the same thing.

Well thank you Charles, by the way, I love your player!

Using it on a centro and it rocks. Set Winamp remote to you media folders, put the address in blazer, login and your in. Some videos may not play due to bandwith issues in Kinoma. Who cares it free (winamp) unlike sling and other stuff. This frees up more space on the 4G card because your music, videos and porto-porn are on winamp on your computer.

BTW, Winamp Remote is a custom-branded version of Orb 2.0. So if you have any problems with the Winamp Remote beta, you can also try Orb.

Anybody thinking of using Winamp Remote with Kinoma Player might find this little writeup interesting:
