This indicates that Blackborder (a program to get rid of the two pixel white border, like on the Centro) works with the 755p. Has anyone tried it, and what has been your experience? (I don't have a 755p, otherwise I'd try it myself). Thanks!

BlackBorder works on 320 x 480 screens. It does NOT work on 320 x 320 screens.

I'm pretty sure the Zire72 had a 320x320 screen. It's listed as one of the compatible devices...

The OP posted the Blackborder question in a Treo 755 forum. The 755 has a 320 x 320 screen. Right? Blackborder won't work on it.

It won't work with a 755P, but it does work on 320x320 screens. It works on a Zire72 and that unit has a 320x320 screen. The screen-shot on the developer's website even shows it running on a 320x320 screen.

I tried it and it does not work on my Treo 755p. It works nicely on my TX though.

    Cheers.

Same here. Just now tried on my 755P and it doesn't work. I'd never heard of this program before though so I just tried it on my old, silver Zire72 and it does work.

The website link above says that it is compatible with Palm: LifeDrive, TX, Centro, Treo 680, Treo 755p, Zire 72

You're right. I hadn't looked under the "Compatible Devices" tab before. I've tried it on my 755P though and it doesn't do anything.

I sent a quick email to the developer of Black Border asking if he has plans to update it for late-model palm devices like the 755p.

I'd definitely pay for software that removes the white border from my 755p. I find it particularly annoying when watching video clips.

It would be better if there were a program that actually put the pixels to use instead of just changing white to black.

Bumping in the hope that something has happened in the last five months... *fingers crossed*
