i recently had a problem with my 755 somehow forgetting who it was. everything about my phone would function just fine, until i tried to send or receive a text message - at which point my phone would return the "sorry charlie" message.

i resolved the problem by calling sprint. they gave me a pound combination to get to a location where i could update my profile.

    ##3282#

interesting place to visit if you want to "blow up" your phone or just cruise around and see what it contains that you can manipulate.

*please drink responsibly, and push alll buttons at your own risk - this is not to be interpreted as an invitation to turn your phone into a paperweight*

certainly, i think, a location that isn't generally known.

i wondered at that point, what other # codes are hidden in our phones.

anybody know any other # combinations?

There's nothing new about that. There are several threads about this. Other codes ##33284# DEBUG, ##377# CRASH INFO, ##786# PHONE INFO. Somewhere on here is a list of all the # codes. ## only works for Sprint. Other carriers use various combinations ##*, #*#, etc.
Visor Deluxe->Visor Edge (Upgraded for $100.00 just by giving them the Serial # of my Visor Deluxe plus I got to keep the Deluxe. Those were the days!)-> Palm M-505->M-515->Tungsten T->Zire 72->Treo 650->->Treo 700P->Treo 755P. Plus various replacements. 8130 Pearl....Sorry

##633# to turn the phone radio OFF
##66# to turn the phone radio ON

I've seen ##744# listed for signal strength, but it doesn't do anything on my phone.

There's a *-something-something code that I've seen listed as something about forcing the phone to re-seek cell towers, but what it actually does (sometimes) is force incoming calls to go directly to voice mail when roaming. You don't want to do that.

Search for "treo hash codes" and you can find some that will mess up your phone real good.
