    1. Call voicemail

    2. push phone button to go back to takephone to look at the call log screen while still listening to voicemail.

    3. hit "menu . " to return to active call.

    4. as soon as I hit the period button crash!

It sucked cause when I went back to my voicemail after the reset the message had been erased. : ( Just wanted to inform you that its happenning.

I'm using the latest build beta on a treo 700p. (build 64)
    Sorry to hear that.

Cant reproduce it. Can you ?

definately reproduceable on my 700p. On an active call with my wifes phone I toggle back and forth between takephone and the active call and it will crash. Sometimes after 1 or 2 times going back and forth and sometimes up to 10 times of toggling back and forth. For this test this is the scenario

    1 on active call
2 press the phone button to go back to take phone
3 from takephone I press "menu period" to launch the phone app
4 repeat steps 2 and 3 until it crashes with about 5-10 sec intervals between switching back and forth.

I also tried it the other way around from my wifes Centro with the latest build beta of TAKEphone and did not get a reset (cycled probably about 20-25 times) but it did get a freeze once that did not clear until the call ended. none of the buttons worked during that freeze on the centro and after the call ended all the pushes registered and did all the moves at once.

Oh nothing registered on the palm crash log on the 700p.

Has it been brought up that upon a reset, if you have a custom image wallpaper selected TP will revert to the default wallpaper of a skin? I have my treo set to backup everynight using NVBackup and then reset and each day TP is back to the default skin wallpaper. More of an annoyance than anything.

On the speed dial page is there any way to make the icons bigger? I pretty much use it as my launch page and it would make it easier to find the application if the icons were larger like the standard palm launcher.

    Hi,

    Afraid not.

You can use the i-Bar for this.

the I bar is nice but I find it impractical compared to the speed dial because I have to sometimes click many times to scroll to the app I'm looking for as opposed to the speed dial page where I'm offered 2 click access to 10 apps and 3 click access to 20.

It would be great if you could allow for an option for large icons or pics on speed dial contacts in future upgrades it would really trump the iphone launcher in my opinion.

actually there's a little speed-dial trick I "found" that will give you access to 20 with not 3 clicks, but 2!

instead of putting your second-most favorite batch of speed-dials on the second page put them on the LAST page.

you can access the last page from the "opening view" of the first page with a single click of the UP button of the 5way, as opposed to the two clicks of the right button to get to page 2. Makes quite a diff.

    cheers

yeah, that's what I was referencing on the 20. Thought this was common knowledge. Still 3 clicks though, I have to include the click to turn on the app.

    Hi,

After I release this version, I plan on allowing a screen of 5x4 (or 5x5 if it fits in) i-Bar buttons. This will allow better navigation on the i-Bar.

Something to consider (and I'm not sure if it the best method but thought I'd toss the idea out anyway): have the full page ibar be a separate set of contacts with a separate setup. Or an option to have it as a separate.

Soemthing I learned from DialByPhoto was that I had to constantly change the order of the contacts everytime I changed the screen layout. Certain orders were better for 3, 5 and 9 contact lists. With the 9 contact bar, position 5 was the most important with 2, 4, 6, and 8 being second most used positions. In the 5 contact bar, 3 was the most important with 2 and 4 being the second most used positions. It may definitely ease some frustration and unnecessary button clicks in other programs that use the ibar (like 2day).

    Hi,

I dont think there will be a need for that, since only possibilities will be 5x1 or 5x4 (or 5x5 if it fits in).

I think you should jettison the icon for either 'Redial' or 'Call Log' (who needs both of them?), and replace one with an icon for the proposed and anxiously-awaited full-page i-bar, or make an option to replace one of them.

    Hi,

Actually I have other plans for that tab.

What I was thinking of is using the 5way to access the full page - if you press DOWN to get to it, then DOWN again - it will open the full page (much like what Palm did with the speed-dial on the CDMA version of the PHONE application).

Alternatively - maybe another loop to the ALT button in FIND screen (right now toggles "list" view and "buttons" view).
