The center d-pad goes to the Treo alerts.. I don't think that TakePhone is aware of things being un-checked from this list. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I un-check something from the D-Pad-CenterButton list, the VMail and Missed call icons in TP still are blinking.
    Hi,

Yes - Missed calls alert is internal to TAKEphONE. I could not find a way to synchronize it with the system alert. Voicemail alert - this is something strange - I do not get notified when you clear this sometimes.

Sorry, you're right. I knew there was an easy way to do it and I didn't really try it first. I clear missed calls by pressing left on the D-pad and going to the Call Log tab (how to get to the Call Log tab will depend on how you have Takephone set up). The only way I clear voicemails is by listening to them, pressing and holding the 1 button. I never tapped on the blinking icons before today, I didn't know you could clear the icon without listening to them. Doesn't really seem useful to me though.

I've recently installed TP and have just started playing around with it. I've got it on a Sprint Treo 755. I started assigning things on the Ibar. 1st button I assigned was the web; 2nd a contact, 3rd a specific web page from my favorites that I set up through the speed dial button, 4th also a specific favorite web page, and when trying to assign the 5th button to a web page, it has reset 4 or 5 times. I can assign a contact to that button, but so far not a web page.

When entering a phone number not in contacts it remembers that no matter what, good idea I think since you may have quickly punched in a number you don't want to forget, and if you leave the app prior to saving the number it's gone. But if you find a contact, leave the application, and come back it should be clear again. Hitting spacebar will redo the last search that found a contact.
At least this has been my experience.
If you found my post useful then please sign up for a Dropbox Account, I could use the extra 250mb of storage.

HOW TO: Zip/Unzip via Pre/Pixi using Terminal
HOW TO: Modify DTMF audio (webOS 1.4.5 or earlier)

Ok, I think I figured it out and sorry of this has been gone over already. If I try to assign a web page to the ibar through the speed dial button, my sprint 755 will reset if the web address is too long.

I use the phone app to force roaming mode on my Sprint 700p. I couldn't find where to do this in TAKEphONE. Is it possible?

Sprint Pre & Motorola H300 BT headset

Dead devices: Palm Pro; Palm III; Treo 600, 650, 700p, 755p; Centro
Yes, I finally updated my tagline!

Forgive my ignorance, but how do you force roaming mode ?

In the phone app, go to Options, Roaming Preferences. In Network Selection choose Roaming Networks Only.

    Hi,

    Oh it's a menu option ?

I will see, but afraid there would be no software interface available for me to handle it.

It would be really, really cool if the ibar reorganized itself based on frequency of use of each of the buttons. Similar to the programs list in the startup menu in XP on the desktop. Thanks for this fun and useful program by the way. Oh and while I'm at it, on the skins with a clock, is there a way to turn it off and on?

My I-bar contacts are all set to prompt. When I first set them, it works fine. After time though, not sure what the triggering event is, nothing happens when I select them (either by the 5-way or tapping the screen). The pictures are still there for the contacts and the names pop up for a couple seconds, but the prompt for the numbers doesn't come up. Has anybody else had this problem?

    Under prefs/plugins, towards the bottom.
Check out http://mcentreville.deviantart.com/ for skins and wallpapers for TAKEphONE.

Hi Shimon, havn't asked for a feature in awhile, but thought I would try again.... (this is something I suggested a few years ago, and you said you would consider it ;-) )
Is there anyway for you to add an option of "listing" all the apps? meaning that when I start typing it should also look for applications starting with that name.
Let's say I start typing T, it will show TAKEphONE & let's say Tom Ect. A lot of people use TP as the home page, so this I think would be a great feature.

    Hi,

This is indeed a good idea, but one that will require quite some work (searching is the start, then comes launching from SD card, filtering, ...)

I want to get the current TAKEphONE version out there as a release...
