Came across this while looking for a new memory card for my 700p. Meritline.com offers the A-Data 16GB SDHC Secure Digital Card, model no. TURBOSDSDHC16G, for $69.99 with about $7 for shipping.

Price sounds great. However Bizrate did not give this merchant a very good rating. Rating of 90% . Take a look.

    http://www.bizrate.com/ratings_guide...id--26077.html

People got their merchandise, but shipping real slow and complaints of poor or no response to customers complaints.

I personally have not purchased anything yet from merchant.

I'm struggling with these larger cards anyway! Treo reads them by neither my Dell PC nor my Toshiba laptop can handle anything larger than 1GB! Any solutions?

Couple of solutions... 1 if you have a built-in card reader on board on your lapper... you can search for the SCHC card reader hotfix.

Or, purchase a SDHC enabled card reader.
ONE can be spelled as NEO.
    There is no spoon.

Thx. I've requested the hotfix files from microsoft.

If I get a card reader that supports - will that work on all PCs with USB connection - regardless of card size?

Depends on the card reader. Some only read SC cards, you can buy a reader that will read LOTS of card types as well. (MMC, MemStick etc)

Someone please post how you go about getting the hotfix. I have a built in card reader, but it does not read SDHC cards.

I just ordered my 16G A-data card from Newegg. I have had good success with A-data and Newegg. Thanks for the heads up.

My post appear earlier as well but here's the latest. I did get the SDHC fix from Microsoft but I still can't read the HD cards in (1) Toshiba m35 laptop; (2) Epson printer with reader slots attached to Dell Dimension 5010.

So, I exchanged the 4 GB HD cars for 2 GB SD cards - and I can't read them either!!!!!!!!

Next, I bought a SanDisk 4 GB HD card which included a USB reader and neither of the PCs can read that! I also tried the 2 GB card in the USB read and no luck. I can't use larger cards for Treo if no way to get data on them.

Am I really stuck with a 1 GB limit?

I use the SanDisk ImageMate card reader ($9.99 at Best Buy) and it reads my 8gb SDHC card fine.

8 gigs for $30 is very tempting...very very very tempting. but i want to hold out cause i know its just a matter of time we as palm users are gonna be forced to another format and there's nothing else i need a memory card for other than my camera which is just collecting dust.

I just wanted to revisit this question. Has anyone been able to use a 16GB card in the 700p?

Did the 16gb card slow down your Treo at all? I just got my 16gb card last night and set up about 7-8gb worth of music on there and it really has slowed my Treo down-I get the White screen for 5-6 seconds for every program now. Common?

Now the 16GB is down to $60.99.

I'm still hoping to hear about more people's experiences using a 16GB SDHC card in their 700px (coined term for an eXpreimental 700p flashed to a virtual 755p).

    Anyone?
