Hi snake eye. Take a look at this picture: It's a putty used to repair car bumpers. When I post the tutorial, it will be further explained.

Hmmmmmmm, I did that. I upgraded to the 680. :P

What paint is that? Is it a rubbery textured kind of paint? I'd love to have a slightly tacky paint like I think is on some of the Treo's and some other devices I've handled. But still too much work.

    Tutorial, please!
Wanna mod my Treo 650 to 680!

i might try this when my full black case comes in just to have no antenna
i am good at body work for cars, and maybe i can improve the design, and blend in the part around the screen.

if i get around to it before school starts that is...

some fusor might hold up better, than just body filler

Then how to cut the antenna?
    Just cut it off?

Anyone know how to cut the antenna so it suit for this modcase?

You can't just cut it off

The antenna is inside the case - and it works fine!

Soon (but not as soon as I would wish), I'll be posting the tutorial, including regarding the internal antenna.

    I hope you like it.

What type of paint would be most durable to use?

Quite often I have my phone in a case, but the design prevents sufficient contact with the screen toward the edges (and I didn't get a decent case until sometime after purchase).

Anyway, having had my phone for about 1 1/2 years now, the case is losing some of its color (primarily in high "traffic" areas such as the center button, ear piece, etc).

OK - I'm a newbie and VERY non-technical. How did you do this. I would love to convert mine to have the inside antenna. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
are you good at taking apart phones, ipods, laptops or other small electronics with ribbons?

and you would have to be ok at soldering also.

and know how to prep/paint it.

Did you just saw off the antenna and remove the circuitry from inside and soldered it to the point where it is screwed. Will be good if you can put photos explaining this great thing you did.
