Two issues that are bugging the 'snot' out of me:
    1.) Delayed SMS:
When I am sent or sending a txt message from/to my wife, sometimes the message doesn't arrive for hours, sometimes it instantly (we both have 700p's). Is this a carrier (Sprint) issue or is the 700p just retarded?

    2.) Dead EVDO Data
Often when I start Blazer, it just sits there idiotically whirling the 'globe' because my 700p forgot that it has EVDO. The data is totally dead...not even 1xRTT. Of course, the only solution is a reset...annoying. Turning off/on the cell radio side doesn't always solve the issue. The only 3rd party app I'm running is the Sprint NFL app and Google Maps. This is my second 700p that does this.

Any solutions besides using the 700p for a wheel-stop in the driveway?

I hate cdma, change to GSM

I would change to TMobile but EDGE sucks for data speed....it's a deal breaker. Suppeposedly TMoblie is reading a real 3G speed network. I'm interested in finding out what TMobile considers 3G speed.

Besides, CDMA has nothing to do with my issue and, in my opinin, CDMA is superior to GSM. However, I wouldn't say I'm a fanboy of it either.

I was told by my dedicated wireless specialist from Sprint (which I work together for some time and trust) that Sprint has (again) some issues with SMS. They should have the problems resolved soon according to my contact.

You seem to suggest that this is something recent. This issue seem to start happening over 6 months ago...but I would say that it has gotten more frequent over the past weeks.

I am in the same data boat. Mine started happening around the same time as yours.

Same here. Haven't had a problem with delayed SMS until recently, and as far as I know it was only with one person who has Verizon and only after she activated a Moto Q on her account. Blame Sprint? Blame Verizon? Why not blame both.
