I did a story that does just that. Go to http://www.palmloyal.com and at the very top is Centro information. View the "Essential Freeware for Palm Centro" link.

PocketGear swallowed Palmgear. They eliminated most of the legacy and it appears all of freeware listings.

This is very true. However, I have found a lot of freeware the past couple of weeks, by just googling the apps that previously had a link to Palmgear. Almost always they can be found elsewhere.

I found your articles on Freeware very helpful for both the Centro and the 755p. However, a couple updates: Directory Assistant is no longer available as Freeware and is being upgraded presumably as a paid app. Mundu Radio is no longer in beta and I believe is now a paid app.

Here's one of my favorite aps on my 755 now and on my wife's Centro. It's called Treobble (there's a thread on the board under Palm OS) but it utilizes your contact list and let's you display and pick out contacts like you were using an iphone. I have no idea how an iphone picks out contacts, but you can scroll up or down with your finger. Pretty cool. It's free, but I donated to the creator (via paypal) as he really has responded to everyone's needs.

Here's a link to the download sight:
