I think it's great that there is all of this new software being created for PalmOS.

I like (I guess liked) to check PalmGear every day or so, but it's getting ridiculous that every song, image, etc. is being posted like it's a brand new application.

I don't have time to weed through that much junk to see if a new or updated application has been posted.

It's only getting worse! Some days, there are twenty new Britney Spears songs to ignore!

It's too bad that they don't put that type of stuff in it's own area.

if you weeded through PalmGear, you might notice you can create a list of apps to track their version. Also, http://www.palmtracker.com does it too...

I've always liked Palmspot's list of new apps:

If you become a member of palmgear, you can add applications to your MyPalmGear page, and it will let you know when an application has been updated.

I want to like Palmspot but it doesn't show you what apps are color and it doesn't sort by # of downloads or by ratings... only alphabetical. The latest 28 listed apps are all medical, just like the Britney spears comment so I don't see the gain.

It looks cool but I can get what I want faster and have more variety at PalmGear.

I love the user ratings on Palmgear. Its about the only thing that I even use the site for :-)

I am fed up with the Britney spears pdb files too. There is no need to post these on the site as they are NOT software. They are best suited for the sites that create teh "viewer" for them.

yardie, et. all: why don't you customize your "PalmGear" page and remove the category that Britney Spears pdb falls under?

I have yet to see a BS pdb posted on new or updated categories.

I was interested in apps that interfaced with a cell phone so I went on PalmGear and did a search, some guy had posted something like 20 seperate cell phone reviews in Doc format. PalmGear needs to take a serious look at this and perhaps open up a seperate site for content.

How do you customize the page?

On the my palmgear page, where it lists software that you track and a link to your palmgear page... at the bottom is Select Software Categories.

Good luck, there are 207 of them.
