    I have the 680, just went to the Sprint store and love the black Centro!!!

    Problem! I am on Cingular/AT&T!! With 6 months to go before the contract ends..

    Anyone heard any gossip about the Centro on Cingular??

    Yes, I did a search and fount nothing on this subject.

    gsm would've done it in a search as well. with the 90 day exclusive, you won't see anything till after the new year, and that is if they're at the ready after the 90 days.

    AT&T is KNOWN for delaying devices, I've not even seen this come across in even a technical testing level, not to say it won't, but I've heard nothing about it so far other then that pic that was posted.

    It probably will come to an oversea carrier like Vodafone first, in which case you can get an unlocked version.

    I really like the form factor of the 500/Centro. Thats why I went w/the 680. I just don't know if I can leave AT&T for Sprint!! I just don't know...

    I don't get why the number is so much lower than the others. Considering this is a better phone, shouldn't the number be higher? The low number is a bit misleading.

    And I want the white centro so bad...

    Treo 500vPalm has announced the availability of the Treo 500v smartphone in Malaysia and New Zealand. It will be caried on the Vodafone network in New Zealand and the Celcom Berhad network in Malaysia. The new smartphone combines multiple forms of communication and multimedia capabilities with high-speed 3G mobile Internet access.

    The Treo 500v smartphone runs on the Windows Mobile(R) 6 Standard platform and has a full keyboard, large screen, audio- and video-streaming capabilities, comprehensive multimessaging functionality (Instant Messaging, SMS and email), phone and personal-information-management software in a new Centro like design.

    The Treo 500 comes with a full qwerty keyboard and a 240x320 Transflective display with support for 65k colours. It has a tri-band GSM radio supporting the 900/1800/1900 bands and UTMS 2100. It includes 256MB memory with 150MB available for user storage and a microSD expansion slot. It also features a 2 megapixel digital camera and a Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and stereo headset support. A mini USB port is provides for charging and connectivity as well as a 2.5mm headset jack. A removable 1200mAh battery is present for a claimed 10 day stand-by rating with 4.5 hours of talk time. It has dimensions of 16.5mm (D) x 61.5mm (W) x 110mm (H) (.65" x 2.4" x 4.3" inches) and weighs 120 grams (4.23 ounces).

    You're better off switching to Sprint if you want a Centro. You'd never be able to take full advantage of it with AT&T's crappy data network. Sprint's is 3G!
