This has captured my interest. It is getting good reviews and looks to be very small. The question of the day, though...is it actually small enough to be "hidden" behind longer hair? It looks like it might be. I like to listen to music at work and I usually only put in one earpiece so I can answer my work phone, hear what is going on around me, etc. If I could listen and it not be obvious that's even better. I want a bluetooth headset for handsfree use, too. So if this is discreet, this might fill both of my needs.

Do you think it's smaller than the Blueant Z9? I can't seem to find a picture of what it looks like IN the ear/in use.

This one looks smaller than the Z9 to me. I found a palm pic of it:

This looks promising if you want to be able to do what I described above (listen to music/audible in one ear while freeing the other up to answer phones, etc.)

It's the Jabra BT8040. It doesn't look any bigger than the BlueAnt, either.

How are you all running BT with such sucky battery life to begin with?
Ive got more Guns than you.

I picked up the Jawbone for under $50 on ebay. Best sounding one I've heard. Though if you want the whole hidden thing, the X3 has gotten good reviews just about everywhere. I still use my Motorola H700 every now and then too that still works well and is very small and fairly comfortable.

I have the H850. I like it, it fits well and people can understand me...as long as you skip the top 2 volume settings. They are far too loud and fuzzy. The H850 is a good bargain headset. I did notice that some of the rubber is begging to split off after about a year or so.

I have the jabra bt8040, and so far with SAG on my 755P it has been fantastic. Streaming audio, MP3, and phone calls. A lot of buffering when streaming video. But it does say on the box for streaming audio.
So far when a call comes in while I am streaming I am able to take the call, hang up, and go back to streaming audio without any lock up. The only issue was that I was not able to hang up with the button on the head set. I had to use the 755p's button.
The sound of music is good, obviously not stereo due to one ear piece. I am thinking of getting rid of my portable xm radio. I really hated working out at the gym with a wired head set. The problem I see now is having to charge the treo 4 times a day. Battery life sucks.

This is just one of many reviews that I have read on this product. I read as many comments as possible to find consistencies as well as hopefully find new information about the item.
I've found that most web reviews are unreliable. If the site has something to sell, expect that the review is not completely accurate. CNET reviews are right twice a day, and gadget sites need to keep a steady stream of samples to review coming in. I've read tons of reviews stating that "X bluetooth headset has perfect sound quality and noise canceled a rock concert"; but when I ask my consultant friend he tells me that whenever he gets a call with the caller's voice being annoyingly garbled that caller is on a BT headset, possibly an expensive one.

Buy one from someplace with a 30-day return and test it for 2 weeks. You won't know until you try it yourself -- even the Aliph gets mixed reviews, it seems there is manufacturing variance, probably bc it's squeezing much technology into a small, inexpensive device and when you do that something has to give.

Good luck, I'm still looking for a reliable headset. Maybe I'll just get the wired nerd version with the mic boom ... those actually work.

+1. The HS850 is a pretty solid, inexpensive unit.
