Is there anyway I can hook up my GPS receiver I had for my Palm Pilot m500 to my Treo 650? It would be awesome just for that to save money. But I haven't seen or found any adapters. Any help or advice appreciated!!!

The m500 had an RS232 serial interface, correct?

I know of no way to hook up an RS232 serial device to a USB client port
which is what the Treo 650 has. If it had a USB host port that would be a different story.

You might consider a HOLUX M1200 that you can get fairly cheaply on ebay that will bluetooth to the 650 quite nicely.

I have both. The Treo does not recognize the Holux GPS.

    Ant tips?

    I have a HOLUX M1200 bluetooth GPS and a Treo 700p.

All I had to do was go to the Bluetooth icon on the main page
and click on setup devices and then trusted devices. The Treo then
searches for all nearby (or whatever you choose) devices. HOLUX_M-1200 should appear in the list. You will need to enter the security key for it which is listed in the maual. It's 0000 (four zeroes). To check if it's working or not there is a free program at palmgear called GPS Tester.

Should be all there is to it.
