I held onto my 650 as long as I could. But last week I dropped it (for 10,000 time) and it finally gave in; touch screen no longer worked and I couldn't make calls. The only thing of significance that still worked, which is huuuge for me, was SMS. And as long as I held off on getting a new phone (2 days), I knew I had to get a replacement fast. All the resetting in the world didn't help either.

For all that it lacked, my 650 truly and honestly did all that I wanted it do - email, text and picture mail.

The broadband capabilities and extra memory of the 755 (even the 700) always made me think of the possibilities, but practicality (a word?) always got the best of me.. "do you really surf on this thing?".."more memory? you have a 2 gig card with more than a gig of free space"....and..."that's a pretty penny to drop for those upgrades"

Well I picked up the 755 last Friday and here's my take so far..

    Bad:
    1) My fingers and the buttons aren't on the same page - I attribute this to being soooo used to the 650 and the new arrangement of buttons on the 755.

I'm constantly hitting the 'home' key instead of the 'phone' key to wake it up and make a call. The pictures on the keys are helpful and I'm starting to get the hang of it.

    2) Switching applications takes a bit of time - Ok, so we're talking milliseconds, but still.

    3) Battery - It sucks! Today I came to work with about 85% capacity. Checked it about a half hour ago, and it's at 25%!! I realized after the fact that I had been logged into IM for about an hour. Does this app really suck the life out of your battery?

    Good:

    1) Form factor - Feels good in my hand (case coming soon, so that might change)
    2) No attenna
    3) Broadband - It's smoking fast and I love it! All that I thought it would be. Using ORB....watching youtube videos...(Ok, so I didn't say it was productive...haha)
    4) More memory - My 2 gig card is on its way, so I'll have plenty of room. But more onboard memory is more onboard memory...and that's a good thing.

So I don't know. I miss my 650 for a number of reasons and I'm still trying to feel this 755 out. I have about 3+ weeks to use and return..so we'll see.

    Keep you posted.

I had the same problem when I moved from the 650 to the 680. The solution? LudusP.
