    Hello,

On a new purchase, would you opt for the 755p or the Centro?
I ordered the Centro, but did like the 755p.

    Thanks

There's no doubt in my mind that I would go w/Centro.

The Treo is nothing more than a bigger, slightly slower, Centro with older apps on it.

The Centro is considered an "entry level smartphone." The current Treo755p? Below entry level. A disgrace at its price right now.

EOL the current Treo and let's hope that Palm can wow us with what a Treo should be in comparison with the Centro.

Centro -- and once a higher spec battery comes out, no looking back.

If think folks should go with a 755P (mine). I'll sell it cheap. Just got it last week.

    I'm going Centro.

My wife is going to go with the Centro to replace her 700p but thats due to her 700 having hardware issues..

If it were me I don't know if I would go with a 755 or a Centro. I like the keyboard size and feel of the larger phone.

Then again I like windows more than palm so it's not much of a choice right now.

Centro all the way. should be interesting to see how sales of the 755 drop over the next few months. And the funny thing is the 755 hasn't even landed at verizon yet. would suck to be a verizon palm user.

You can't reuse the old battery on the 755p anyway, I would go with a Centro with 2 extra batteries.

The Centro runs on PalmOS. The Treo 500v runs Windows Mobile Smartphone edition.

I got a 755p 7 days ago.And it has been resetting constantly.Im an ex-BB user.So this is disappointing to say the least.I'm lovin the Palm O.S..It is so much better than the BB O.S. in my opinion. My 755p just took a dump.So I'm going back to Sprint today(Its 3:35am) and I'm gonna do a swap(Still in 30 day trial period).I got to mess around with a Centro yesterday. That is a mean little smartphone. And how are they calling it "Entry Level"?It does everything the 755p does. The only difference is I hear that it does it better. So I might just drop this 755p and snag a Centro.*sigh*.Decisions.

Yeah, I think the consensus is that the Centro may have been "positioned" as entry level by Palm, but in fact it has many advantages over the 755p, to the point that most will pick the Centro over it.

I agree with you. I would go w/Centro over 755p.

Don't say that... Verizon could still pull a "Sprint" (Samsung i550) and cancel the 755p at the very last minute. And that would probably hurt Palm quite a bit...

When Sprint canceled the i550 at the very last minute, Samsung was so hurt/pissed that it shutdown its entire PalmOS development line.

ahhh the i550.... the greatest phone that never was.

And what exactly does the Centro do that the 755p doesn't?
If God brought you to it He'll bring you thru it!

    Two things:

    1. Take up less space

    2. Cost less
