Just called customer care last nite and got the blk Centro for only 99 bucks..No haggling at all. Just some backgorund info: my contract was expiring on April 08, I've had the 700p for about 11.5 months, been a sprint customer for about 4-5 years...so no real deal-breakers that I could go off of. Honestly, I was just nice and told CC that I was a little tired of my 700p's unstableness (ok, fine i used a bit of exaggeration [sp?]) and i wanted to upgrade to the Centro. Her first offer was $99 so I ran with it!!! ..I guess it does pay-off to be nice sometime!!

p.s.-not sure if they renewed my 2-yr agreement but at this rate, who really cares?? sprint service (on the phone, i mean) is relatively ok, so why would u leave a good thing espcially if can get upgrades basically every yr at a fraction of what the phone actually cost. True story, got the 700p and 650 for 100 each when I upgraded to them. Neva had either one of them for more than 18 months!!

Essentially Sprint paid me $22 to start using a Centro on their SERO plan.

    $299
    - $100 (instant rebate online)
    - $100 (forthcoming mail-in rebate)
    - $50 URANG promo code when ordering online (to be applied as credit to future bill, thanks www.fatwallet.com)
    - $71 (higher than expected ebay proceeds from sale of Treo 600, AC adapter and sync cable)

signed up for SERO 1,250 plan w/ 2 yr contract. not too shabby, eh?

actually, ordering online through sprint on a new plan or upgrading your old is now $99 without a rebate and no special code needed.
    Regular price $399.99
    Instant savings -$250.00
    Web special -$50.00
    Online price $99.99
(new plan or upgrade w/2yr contract)

Is there a rebate form to fill out for the $100? or is it just an automatic thing that gets processed?
Pixi: Sold. Pre: Passed off to another rep. Touchpad: Just a toy until Cloud syncing arrives, and a better doc editor.

there was a form to get the $100 mail-in rebate. so it looks like they've just consolidated it into an instant rebate to get to the same $99 price point but i guess you never know.

might depend how much time is left on your current contract. you can try calling and seeing if a rep will give some wiggle room.

HE-HE! The beauty of the double entendre, no?! MY 700p has been acting like a POS ever since the "Maintenance Release" fiasco. Hopefully, they got it right on this mini-755p.

I was looking to add a Centro to one of my lines so I contacted Ecare by email. They offered me a $100 credit on my account when I activated the Centro. Not great but better than nothing.

Soo... I rolled into the Sprint store to check one out. After playing with the Centro for a couple minutes I decide to go for it. Rep looks at my account and tells me I'm not eligable for an upgrade discount but says he's got "special pricing" on the Centro. So he gives me: Centro $399 - $100 instant discount - $150 activation discount - $50 mail-in rebate = $99.

I send another email to Ecare advising I activated the Centro on my account. Get an email the next day advising a $100 credt has been applied to my account plus an additional $30 credit to offset the activation fee. Sure enough Yesterday I checked my account and there was a negative balance reflecting the credits.

    I love Sprint!

2 Centros ordered from the Sero site. $99 each plus taxes, $265-ish. Used the URANG code on checkout and now I have a -$229 credit on my account, not sure from what but I'm affraid to see my first bill.

I got mine for $99 because I opened a second line for hubby. He will get my old phone (he's not a gadget geek type so he's fine with it). :-)
