well they make a clear and a smoke. I think the smoke would be a nice match for the black centro. Going into the weekend, I won't hear back till next week most likely if they have any other colors. From the looks of it, the raised area in the back doesn't seem to be too pronounced like some others are. Usually, the nicer ones have a two piece nub. A small disk that goes on the inside in a recessed area and the nub that screws in. Creates a slimmer profile compared to the ones that the threads are built into the case. Will keep you posted. I was getting frustrated with the guy because he didn't email me back forever, but I supposed he was just waiting till they finished production. It's the same company that makes the cradle, so hopefully I can place the order for both because shipping doesn't end up being cheap.

My friend just sent me this link to another kind of case that only covers the top screen. Don't think it has been added to the list of Centro accessories. Here it is:

That looks very interesting. I am looking for something that will cover the screen so I won't have to worry about it in my pocket or purse. One of the side views on that one though looks like it might be easy for something to get between the flap and the phone.

I just noticed yesterday that Fortte is now offering an Open Face design as well as a Dual Design (which is an Open Face with a removeable flip cover). I like the looks of that one, except, I'm not sure how convenient it would be to snap and unsnap the case with every call. I just opened a support ticket with them to ask if the snaps are magnetic.

I'm leaning towards the Sena flip case as that cover is magnetic and would probably be easy to open and shut.

I saw this case on ebay a while ago. It is another rubberized case but it also covers the top buttons (not the qwerty keyboard) as well. I think it should be fairly decent since I was worried that the paint on the silvery buttons may wear off.

    here's the link

I apologize if it was already posted.

I've also been using the Sprint branded clear case for about a month and I have to say that it is fairly decent. The clip stays on tight and the SD card slot is covered. It is easy to peel apart to clean dust that gets in. Overall i would say it is a sold case. It was expensive as I paid 20 dollars plus tax for it. It was the only available case at the time though. It would be nice if there was more protection for the screen and the keyboard from this clear plastic case.

Fortte now has six different styles of cases for Centro. Once you pick the style you want, you can pick from one of 33 different color combinations.

They have a color called "Modern Pink" that looks like it may be a great match for the new pink Centro.

I had the Krusell Classic with Multidapt form-fit case for my Treo 650 and I loved it. I’d like to find a similar case for my Centro.

I’ve read through most of the posts in this thread and the updated links at the start of the thread. I still can’t find much info on this type of a “glove fit” case that covers the entire face (screen and keyboard) and still allows you to use it without taking it out of the case.

I did find the Fortte Leather PDA Case Glove Fit for Palm® Centro but the quality doesn’t look as good as the Krusell one. So I went to the Kursell web site and found the Krusell Classic with Multidapt for the Treo 800v.

Can anyone tell me if this will work on the Centro?

The link you posted takes me to a case for the Treo 500v, so I assume that's what you meant (not 800v). If so, I did a comparison at a site caled sizeasy, and it looks like the 500v is a good bit larger than the Centro.

You are correct, I did mean the Treo 500v (not 800v). Thanks for the dimensions on the two phones and the link to the sizeasy site. I don't think the case for the 500v is going to work.

I got a reply from Kursell on this as well:

Thank you for your contacting us.
Unfortunately, we do not have a Classic case for Palm Centro and have no plan to make production at present. We always keep customer information in our database. We will let you know if we plan to make production for that unit. The Classic case for Palm Treo 500v does not fit for Palm Centro.
Please feel free to contact us for more information.

I've done even more searching and it appears that the only form-fit (AKA glove-fit) Centro case with full coverage of the entire face (screen and QWERTY keys) is the Fortte Leather PDA Case Glove Fit for Palm® Centro but I'm still worried about the quality of the case. I saw a few other posts in this thread about the quality of another Fortte case. Has anyone else ordered one of these cases?

I purchased a pink soft vinyl case from Ebay a month ago and picked the wrong one. It was thinner than the other case I had owned with my 650, and it now is losing its shape.

Although I had prefered the feel of the vinyl, it gets sticky when I slide it in and out of my pockets. Can anyone recommend a hard pink case (reasonably priced)?

    Thanks!

P.S. I really want one that has a flip-up LCD protector, but not finding one yet. (The phone case graveyard drawer grows larger)

Crogs any updates? I got the clear one on eBay for Xmas. I thought it was great until my mother bumped into it at the corner. The case split open and the Centro went flying. Now I'm back to commando. It looks like its between Crogs, which looks like the eBay one, [the] eBay one and Sprint since I'm looking for clear with a clip.

this guy that has them is freakin' horrible at getting back to me. He asked if I wanted then and would send me an invoice and then he disappeared. I had the black ebay one, and it doesn't stay locked all the time. It's a pain. The ones that I was looking to buy bulk are different, more like the Seidio ones in design, but this guy is the only vendor, and he's just brutal. I keep bugging him.

FYI, the proclip car holders are on proclip's parent site, but no word yet as to being available in the US. Nothing yet on a holster either. Everything is just so slow this time of year. Driving me bonkers. I might end up with the Seidio rubberized case and throw a krusell multidapt on the back with a spring clip. That would be as thin and low profile as it gets.

hey, check out this carbon fiber snap-on case on ebay. differnt design than the cheap ones as the keyboard is more open. No clip option which would appeal to some and a ton cheaper than Seidio's cases. I think I'll give one a shot. It looks like the crystal cases I was looking to buy but in carbon fiber. Amazing that I'll probably drop about $50 on cases before settling on one. At least I pass them off to coworkers as I go.

Nice Krusell Leather Skin case with Multidapt. About $20 on ebay. I like the design and the multidapt so I can throw the slim spring clip on it. You can also get the armband attachment if you want to run with it.

The injection molded holster has hit also. Under $10 on ebay. Just search for "Centro Swivel Holster". I think the two designs look similar. One has a cutout for the camera and the other just looks recessed. The other design I didn't picture didn't offer the full coverage at the top. Didn't think it was worth posting.

Finally! Now the outie holster or the clear?
  19. #359
Thanks Crogs! I checked out eBay and I found two that look similar. One is under $8 including shipping and the other is under $16 including shipping, that's double. I can't see a huge difference, it looks like the thumb grip on the belt clip is better on the cheaper one. Which one do I grab?

The plus to this is there's no tool mark or lint build up. Now I'm back to going commando or getting the BodyGuardz.

I was going to say how this would show the pink off well but I don't know if women wear holsters?
