I tried to delete all my text messages to see if one of them was corrupted and causing the problem, but everytime I try to purge - the Treo resets!

I have done a Hard reset, and restored my phone - but the problem still exists.

I would like to get rid of all the text messages and try to hot synch without them. How do I find them on my computer so that they don't get put back on the phone?

And ... why does it reset every 3 pushes??? And sometimes when I'm on the phone, and sometimes when it's just sitting on the desk, and sometimes when.... oh you get the picture

If you are having trouble deleting the messages you can go in to the delete feature and delete the "Messages Database". This will delete all messages in your inboxes.

Use a file manager, like FileZ, to delete the file, "Messages_Database"; then launch the messages app so that a new, blank one is created.

As long as your Backup conduit is set correctly, the old copy shouldn't be reinstalled during Hotsync, but you can make sure by deleting the same file from your desktop /Palm/user_name/Backup directory (where "user_name" is some variation of your Hotsync ID).
