Im just curious reverendrhino are you trying to get the videotones feature to work and is that whats giving you your resets? This feature was only designed for the treo 650 and apparently doesn't work on the newer versions of the treo line. I think I tried that when I had my 700p and had problems. Im now currently using the newest commercial release and have had absolutely no lag or resets cause by the lightwav (at least none that have been reported by the ##377# feature)

No, I was just wondering if they fixed it, because I remembered he said he was going to fix someday.

    question about callblock.....

does it save your settings after u turn the phone on and off?

also does it save your settings when you turn the phone back and forth from silent to ring?

    Thanks!

I am trying Ringo Pro again and am happy with it.

I also like that it doesnt delete the ringtones in the contacts so that if the card pops out or I ever want to delete it I dont have to make all of those changes again. Hopefully there will be an updated version soon with a few new features.

Bit of an update on my crusade, not as if anyone cares....

I ended up writing to Toysoft with my issues regarding LightWav...they were LESS than helpful...basically said 'Well, our users dont have these problems and we seel an incredibly stable program so cant help ya' Yea, they werent getting my money... So, I wrote to MotionApps with regards to mRing, they responded within the hour, explained to me what I should do and now the app is working GREAT. So I think I have finally settled, a bit pricier than CallBlock but I like the features and their customer support is great as well.
Thanks for everyone's help, its greatly appreciated.

The pics I was using for the picture ID were too high in resolution. Therefore causing serious lag upon the phone ringing and the picture coming up. The phone was hanging anywhere between 5-7 seconds. Now Im using smaller resolution pics and it works fine.

yea, LW just doesnt work for me

dont know why and neither does their tech support, they gave up on trying to get it to work as well...

too bad because LW seems like an amazing program if it works correcty.

anyway, mRing is working well enough that when the trial is up I will probably be purchasing it.

Tell us how it works out.

There was something I never liked about mring - but what I liked most about ringo is that I didnt have to go into contacts and change those ringers to default. And I never had confidence in Toysoft to change ringers to none to make it work.

Please give me updates on mring as you get used to it and PM me.
    Good luck.

I had ringo pro (thanks to limewire) and it worked alright on the Treo 650.
But I couldn't find an updated version that worked well on the 755P, and you couldn't customize text message sounds.

Anyway, after reading this thread, I decided to try the mRing program. If I'm going to pay for something, I want FULL support. Not an oh well oh well. I've downloaded it Thurs and Friday it crashed on me with an unknown caller. But I'll still try to work through it, I do like the full screen display when a call comes in. I'm not sure why palm didn't include it. You have a big screen and the put a little picture. WTH?

    Keep us posted.

mRing is $29.99 is there anyone here know how to get it a bit cheaper?

its funny that LW runs pretty good for me and mring doesnt

its vice versa for u, lol

the issues i had with mring:

when i hit screen to answer incoming call, the screen would turn all white and the call would never be picked up, the caller would still hear ringing...

could not switch over for call waiting...

some of my mp3 files wouldnt play right... not sure what mring uses to play mp3 files.. LW used ptunes and it played all my mp3 files fine... with mring , some were all distorted...

I'm with italiangspot, LW don't work for me, but mRing does...Ringo did once, not no more. Ringcare never did...go figure.

Not any more with version 2.31! My goal is 100% stability and I think I have gotten there with this new release. If any problems are found, please report them to my support desk (support @ GoTreoSoftware.com) and we will fix them ASAP.
