Suddenly the backlight on my Palm One GSM 650 screen is about 25% of what it used to be (kbd backlight is fine). I can still lower/raise it but at MAX it waaaay too dark. I really have no desire to upgrade to a 680 or whatever. Is this repairable? Any idea what Palm charges? I have seen new unlocked 650's on eBay for around $225. Trying to find out which is the better way to go.

Perhaps you've toggled the "night mode". Press option + rightshift.
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680

Hard reset your Treo and test it before you restore any data; you might discover that it's a software, not a hardware, problem.

Nope .. didn't help. I haven't added/removed software in years but tried it anyway.
