I searched for this, didnt come up with anything, so sorry if its been asked already
Any way to turn off the solid green light up at the top? It's my wifes phone, not mine, and she wants it off. I looked through the option menus, but didnt see anything. Am I missing something obvious?

I think LEDOff works on the 755p. That should allow you to do that although I'm not sure what the solid green one means. Isn't that to indicate that the phone is charged?

Edit: Took too long to type.

not sure what a solid green means. It's my wife's phone, not mine. She asked me about it this morning while I was driving, so I didn't take a whole lot of time to look at it. I was assuming it meant the phone was on. I didn't even see an option for turning off the flashing led like on my 650

Only time I get a solid green light on my 755 is:
    New mail in Chatter
    Connecting to Power Vision
    Battery Charge.
Visor Deluxe->Visor Edge (Upgraded for $100.00 just by giving them the Serial # of my Visor Deluxe plus I got to keep the Deluxe. Those were the days!)-> Palm M-505->M-515->Tungsten T->Zire 72->Treo 650->->Treo 700P->Treo 755P. Plus various replacements. 8130 Pearl....Sorry

    Twitch3,
Does the green light stay on until you read all new messages, or just acknowledge that you know the messages are there (e.g. open Chatter)...
In other words when you get a solid green telling you new mail in chatter, what makes it go away?

BTW, thanks for all the responses. I must have done something naughty in my previous life because I have to play "tech support" for my wife and her new toy that sprint gave her, whilst I still plug away with my 650

Hold the 5way center to get the Alerts screen, then clear the alerts.
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680

I monitor two accounts in summary view. It will clear the LED if I get an email in one account and open Chatter. If I get mail in each account, I have to highlight at least one email in each account.

The OP didn't say which Treo it is but on a 755P, the LED slow flashes green for an alert. Didn't know if you were aware of that since you're using a 680.

Yes, it is on a 755. I didnt mention it since I posted in the 755 forum. My bad. But on a happy note, I did get to play with my wifes 755 and as twitch3 mentioned, it was a chatter alert. Just openng chatter caused the light to turn off.

    Thanks for all the input

Remember, LED alerts can be turned on or off for different chatter events. Just go to the "Notifications" section of Chatter's settings.
