I'd like to add the M1200 too which came out about 3 weeks ago:

    http://www.buygpsnow.com/Holux-M-120...ount)_897.aspx

Small like the GPSlim 240 but battery life nearly of the M1000. It's in the range of 15-20 hours. I haven't timed it myself but I've seen on the Holux site state 15 and 20 hours.

i heard that the m1000 is not the best if u are going to need any navigation with speeds under 3mph, such as walking and hiking...... i heard the sirfIII chipset gps units are the way to go if u are going to be hiking or golfing....

I have done just a little walking with my M1200 and seemed fine to me. This is probably with less than 30 minutes of actually walking around.

I've been keeping my eye open for low cost, but good, GPS receivers. Anyone use the M1000 with Telenav? On occasion I would use it walKing mostly in unfamiliar downton areas between appointments.

    Thanks to all!
