sorry, i'm referring to the look of the takephone screenshot on your site. with the additional info on the screen... the time/date, speaker state, email notification, calendar info - the screen looks very informative (can be used as a main screen) and i was wondering how this 'worked' with 2day, but i assume that takephone is assigned to the phone button on the treo-- and when pressed, that is when this screen appears... is that correct? and i assume the speed dials are the treo's favorites... thanks!

    Hi,

You are correct, only the spped-dials on the main screen are configurable - they can be filled with either a speed-dial entry, or a contact, or a manual entry, or even an application shortcut.

I have been a long time user of TakePhone and have also used DialbyPhoto. Is it possible to have multiple numbers assigned to each photo contact.

When you create the photo contact in TP, use the "prompt" option.

I tried the schedule a phone call. And it entered it into my calendar, but when the time came, it didn't do anything.

There is no such function in TP. The Schedule function puts the record of a particular past phone call into your calendar; it doesn't "schedule a future phone call". Even if it could, how do you envision the process working? The phone automatically calls someone at an appointed time, and then...what?

I think that only works if you receive the phone call.

What you are looking to do is possible using an app called "Fakecall"; Google for it or search in these here forums.

I like Takephone. I will be checking it out some more. One thing I ran into; I have a ton of pics on my card. Whem I went to assign a pic to a number it hung once I selected the card icon. I am using a 755p.

After a phone call, Takephone takes the main screen back to the default phone app. How come it does not come back to Takephone?

You mean when a call ends ?

What option do you have set in TAKEphONE "Treo" preferences page for "Return after..." ?

Also - are you using any other 3rd party app, such as YourCall, Butler, Phone tec. ?

Great appl.. use it every day and some of the best money I've spent on my my Palm in some time.

One quick question is there an easy way to get back to the Palm Phone application during a call. you have the dial pad but not the Mute/Unmute buttons. I found the 'Phone' application under the Go menu but its not available if I'm in a call. Unless I'm missing something obvious I have to my launcher and launch the phone app.

I almost bought Takephone, but decided it didn't really add anything over the existing phone app. The dial by pictures is way too small.
