If I figure out I'm doing something wrong in the ibar set up, perhaps I'll delete all the photos and start over.

    TIA
Tap and Hold on the i-Bar record in question to open the Entry screen, then tap on "select number...", choose "Prompt..." and tap OK, then OK again. Now that record should be set to present you with all the numbers for that contact when you select it.

In preferences there is an option to use the third hardware button to initiate SMS. I was thinking that maybe it would work when a picture is highlighted.
Am I way off the mark?

Confuse them? I'm not sure how, but believe me, the feature is not a deal breaker by any means! I just thought that if you highlight a picture on i-bar you can either, 1) make a call with the center button or green button, or 2) send a message by pressing the third hard button (mail button on the 755).

Is there a way of displaying pending voice mails in the same field that email and sms icons appear? I want to be able to retrieve voice mails from that field as one can do in 2day.
Currently, the voice mail icon appears in the upper left corner of the screen and is unaccessible using the 5-way nav. You need to use the stylus/finger.
    TIA

    Hi,

The voicemail indicator the Palm OS supplies proved to be not fully trustable (is there such a word ?), so I hesitate to put it on the "main area".

Simon - as a user of a 700-P with its phenomenal BlueTooth reliability I find myself having to try to make a phone call, note that BT has vanished exit the phone app and go find BT to set up repair curse yada yada yada
You've got the very convenient access to BT on 2Day, but need to use Stylus on 700 (or at least I can't seem to get there using 5 way and i even went and read the manual) in TakePhone
Is there a reason for the exclusion or is it there and I can't see forest for trees. I assume I'm not the only one who as more than occasional need to 'kick' the BT connection on the 700

HobbyistSoftware has just released a set of free "shortcut apps". I've attached the Bluetooth Toggle app; just assign it a Favorites key, and you can just press and hold that key to turn BT off/on.

strange problem - i've been using the i-bar since installing this a couple days ago and really like it- but i notice tonite when i hit the center button on an existing icon (for prompt) it goes to the Alert Screen (i have not alerts either). also happens on a blank spot on the i-bar when i go to insert a new contact - brings me right to alert screen. this did not happen prior. i've tried deleting and recreating i-bar contacts but still no luck.

this may or may not be related- i just noticed that under HELPERS the edit-view helper was inadvertantly changed - i assumed it should be set for address, but that does not appear in my drop down list. i set it to CONTACTS, but when i return to that screen it says CONTACTS-Padd = this does not look at all familiar to me, but honestly i haven't studied the settings prior, so i'm not sure.

For an existing item on the ibar you need to just tap the center button -if you hold it down it will take you to the alert screen.

In a blank ibar field, just tap it and it will take you to the screen to enter new info.

    Good luck

I would suggest having an option to enable it, with a warning that it may not work with all devices/sw configurations and not show it by default. I too would really like be able to use the nav buttons to check my voice mail without setting one of my i-Bar entries to dial my voicemail.

Do appreciate your taking the time to comment and attach the util. Am really trying to avoid more 3rd party apps and since the integration is so sweet in 2Day was hoping that the same thing could be done in TakePhone Am wondering if it was an oversight or intentional and if the former am sure Simon can and will address (so hard to even nit pick his software and impossible to do so with his support !)

    Hi,

My main problem here is the shortcut B is taken by the (standard) "Beam contact" menu option...

BTW - I can assure you Rob from HobbyistSoftware is a good a developer as I am. You can consider his utility as if it was part of TAKEphONE !
