I was having trouble syncing my Treo650 to my PC thanks to the contacts on the Treo being a bit dirty, so I removed the battery and sprayed the connector on the bottom with a bit of electronics cleaner. Now the Treo connects/syncs fine with the PC, but there is a film and/or dampness between the LCD screen and the backlight (or so thats where it appears).

Should I try opening up the Treo and take apart the screen "package" to clean it out, or should I exchange my phone using Sprint's insurance program?

Been paying for the insurance since I bought the phone years ago, might as well use it... right?
