"I think you need to take your phone in for a tune-up. Your old one didn't break up like that - i think it's hunting for a signal."

Ya, so, you want to read all the pages of people having problems and figure out how to get Verizon, Spring & Palm to admit there is a problem?????

So he was breaking up while i was talking to him - but i'm guessing i must have been breaking up too.

    UGH.

We see who is in charge and it sure is not DH.

Anyway, here in Honolulu proper and the major areas, signal strength from Sprint is good and as a result, it is rare that I "break up." Signal strength would be my concern versus the unit itself.

Ben - nope, DH is not in control of anything technical. He will admit that

So, today, I was out of the house (first time in a week - love the stomach flu going thru the house). He wasn't breaking up while i was talking to him - yesterday, he was, but i was in my house (with 2 bars), anyway, apparently *I* was breaking up.

To the point he interrupts me and says, "You need to go to the frickin' Verizon store and get a new phone, yours is a piece of junk."

He hadn't told me until yesterday i was breaking up - but apparently its on all the calls he's made to me.

I told him it would be nice if he would come out and say that so i could get it fixed..... MEN (sorry - but see what we women put up with at times???? :P).

So, apparently - it's really bad. I had good signal strength - i was on the street in front of the Verizon store even. LOL!!

    Time to call Assurion.

Well, there is always the possibility that it may be his placement and not yours.

True - and his Verizon phone has some issues, but he's been multiple places in town and apparently had the issue. I know the coverage here at the house has been spotty - which is why i hadn't made a big deal of my end breaking up.

I think i'll keep an "ear" to it for the next week - have him tell me what it's doing and where he is at. I let Assurion know last night that i was having issues - but that i hadn't been out of the house in 7 days. I thought i had 7 days to tell them - but that was just if there was physical damage to the phone. Which there wasn't, it was a brand new retail boxed 700.

That is the dicey part to me in all of this - it's new, but I have to go thru Assurion for my 12-month warranty (and it's still covered under the insurance). So I don't think i can fight with Verizon-Palm like anyone else - i have no "proof of purchase" since I didn't BUY it.

I can deal with anything it's doing - except messed up calls. And 99% of my calls are to him or my mom, so it kinda needs to work

Maybe since i have his phone here - i should call and swap ESN's on it with my OLD one? There I go, i've been needing to do that for weeks - but never have both phones.
