    I'm going to do a hard reset...but where could I find the PIM data in my backup folder? ...How does it look like?...

    Your PIM data is stored in the following files on your Treo: CalendarDB-PDat, ContactsDB-PAdd, MemosDB-PMem and TasksDB-PTod. However, unless you're using BackupBuddy for Windows, you won't find them in your desktop Backup directory.

    Your PIM data on the desktop is stored in the following files, in the following subdirectories of your /Palm/<username>/ directory:
    \address\address.dat
    \datebook\datebook.dat
    \memopad\memopad.dat
    \todo\todo.dat

    That data, in that form, can only be restored to your device via the PIM conduits during Hotsync.
