I haven't been able to figure out how (if it's possible) to change the number of rings my 680/Cingular delivers before it goes to voicemail. It seems to be set on 3 (standard?) since purchasing it. I am currently in Mexico and am missing calls because most if not all of the called ID is blocked here. I'd like to increase the ring # for use both here and now and at home. Thanks,
    **** Johnson

You can use the following codes to control the delay from 5 to 30 seconds on any GSM phone:

    1. To get the current call forwarding status, enter *#61#[SEND] into your phone.
    2. Write down the 10-digit number(ignore the +1), this is the phone number that your calls are currently being diverted to.
    3. Enter **61*[number]*11*[delay]#[SEND] into your phone using the phone number (numbers only) as reported by the status & the delay can be set to (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30) seconds.
    4. To verify that the settings are correct, enter *#61#[SEND] into your phone.

    I hope this helps.

I'm sorry but you are wrong. This will only work if your carrier supports it. Rogers in Canada does not for example.

In the past when I have had this problem, I have just called Cingular and *****ed. They changed it for me!!

Wasn't a big deal at all. I think they ship them out with the shortest possible number of rings...
