Reset Doctor reports the crash as -- "StringMgr.c,Line:68, NULL string passed"

I'm stumped. Long time Treo user and generally a techie.

    Can anyone help?

Sounds like corrupt database. Hard reset, do not restore from backup, your contact files.

For what its worth, I did the opposite. Here is what worked for me in case someone else runs into this error. I did a safe mode boot and had no trouble getting into my Calendar and Datebook. I then did a hotsync where the desktop overwrote the handheld. Rebooted, and no more resets.

Had this same problem recently - didn't start happening until I wiped Saved Preferences. Turns out I had a few apps in memory that had expired trial periods. Well, when Saved Preferences is wiped, it brings 'em back.

Bottom line: one of the "expired" apps was locking the contacts DB, and it was causing a crash when I tried to open contacts.

I'm not sure which app it was, I deleted 3 of them, all of which I hadn't used in a long time. Pays to keep memory clean!
