    I haven't read all the threads on this issue, there are far too many, but when Sprint came out with their MR, I read that using a card reader and then installing from the SD card was providing better results (less bricks) than installing from the desktop.
    Now that Verizon released their MR, I'd like to know if the SD installation is still the preferable method, or if they've fixed this issue.
    Since I don't have a card reader, I'd like to know, thanks!

    I installed from the desktop with no problems.

    General consensus seems to be that installing from the SD card (after a hard reset) is providing consistently better results.
