I bought a replacement battery for my 700p off ebay. It was labeled for the 650, but had the exact volts and mah as the old 700p battery. It was a little tight fit, but fit ok. Now the w key, the z key and the down on the nav dial does not work. Is this from the battery or just coincidence? Everything else seems to work fine.

Have you tried using the device without the battery in?

It is possible that if the battery was poorly designed (as in, maybe by one of those cheap batteries) it might have strained the circuit board.
    Did you know:

webOS ran on a Treo 800 during initial development.

Thanks, I am at work so I couldn't put my old battery back in, but I took the new (tight fit) battery out and just put in in to make the contacts fit without pushing the whole battery in, and voila, the keys work again. It must have just ever so lightly stretched the circuity. Tom
