I use Lightwav. It allows you to not only block calls but you can choose how. You can simply block it, have it pick-up then hang up, reply with a text or ignore it.

It also let you use ANY media file type that PTunes recognizes as a ringtone and start it wherever you want in the song without having to trim it and reformat it to WAV.

You can have it show a picture or video on an incoming call and choose a different one for each contact you set up.

    Good Luck,

Lightwave sounds awsome...does it create any lock-up/incompatability/rest issues with the 700p?

does it block both blocked caller ids and no caller ids?

i am trying the trial for call filter right now and it has the option to block either blocked caller ids or no caller ids. it seems to have similar features as call block, and call block is like half the price, if it does the same there i would pick that one up.

No, I don't think Callblock sees any difference between the two. Both fall under its "Private Number" description.

Out of curiousity, why would that matter?

Yeah, it's a nice solid app.

CallFilter does not work on the 700p and is nothing more at this time than vaporware. Purchasing it for anything other than the 600 is folly.

If you need simple call blocking, then CallBlock is a good application. In most situations it does very well. For more detailed blocking and profiles, then LightWav is the way to go.

If you are in to simple ring tone management, then CallBlock, LightWav and RingCare are good programs.

I have tried mRing 4x and never got it to work properly on my Sprint 700p MR'd.

I've never had any issues related to Lightwav and resets.

It uses Ptunes as the player. I use the deluxe version so I can play WMA's.

    It's made by Toysoft.

and before anyone asks I don't work for them, I just been using the software for a long time and am very satisfied.

    Ben,

I have no problems related to using CallFilter (version 1.3.2 beta 1) on my Sprint Treo700p (pre- or post MR) or 650 v1.12 or v.1.13a ROMs. The only bug I am aware of is that you have to open up CF and click the Disable and then the Enable buttons or it will cease functioning after a HotSync. The only other problem is that the author has gone on hiatus a couple times and the last 6 months is no exception, but CF works nicely. One nice thing about CF is that it allows you to create different sets of rules that follow the active profile settings with programs such as ProfileCare and a few other profilers. Those apps are on my essentials list (below)...

But MilenkoD, if all you want to do is block calls, then CallBlock may be a better purchase for you.

CallFilter works perfectly for me on my 700p it is the beta though as stated above.

As for CallBlock versus CallFilter, I like CallBlock better, but it doesn't allow you to do something such as allow a phone call certain times of the day and then disable them totally on a different day. CallFilter allows this, but with my version of it for the 700p it doesn't not totally silence the call it still rings one half ring before ignoring the call.

Same result here - the phone does sometimes start to ring before CF catches it. Seems to depend on what you're doing when the call comes in and how it is set (i.e., ignore call or send to voicemail).

I really like that CF can look to see what profile I've got set. If I ever decide to take a nap, I just set the profile to "Nap" with 2 keypresses and if a call comes in, the phone will be silenced by ProfileCare and CF will reply to the call with an SMS telling the caller "I am taking a nap & will call u back when I wake up IF you left me a VM or paged me" if the caller is in my contacts. Gotta love that. And if they left a message there'll be an Orange LED thanks to Butler, so I know they called.
