    Thanks,

+1 ...a lot of the ringers are killer on the Iphone. If someone will send them to me I can host them for a while..PM me. A zip file with as many of them as possible would rock.

I found this one and the sci-fi tone. Here's the 1st one...(I'm still trying to snag the sci-fi off of a website).

Change the file extension from .txt to .m4a (I had to change it to upload).

Go to www.tonefm.com and it will give you a list with samples..then just go to the tonefm.com/get url on your phone and enter the correct code to get the tones you want. There are 3 Iphone tones out there currently.

Yeh I have that ringer too.

I basically just watched a video of someone going through all the new ringers on the iPhone and they are AWESOME.

    I want them all!!!

But how do I get any of these to play as ringtones on my 700p since they are mp3's and my phone will only save midi files as ringtones? I got the iphone #2 ringtone onto the 700p, but it is in PocketTunes and saving it as a ringtone isn't a listed option. I just got my 700p and I'm definitely an amatuer to all this

    Thanks!

if you don't have any ringtone app just download minitones which is free and you'll be able to use mp3s as ringers. takes up memory but hey it works..
The only time I ever made a mistake was when i thought I did and was mistaken.

save files as mp3 files, import into itunes, then right click on file in itunes and convert to aac, then click and drag to dekstop, there is your m4a tone which is natively compatible with treo 700p

then email the file to yourself

I've done something like you suggest in the past on other ringtone sites, but I can't save the mp3 ringtone from "tonefm" on my PC at all. I can save it on my 700p as an mp3, but then I can't export it to my PC to do the conversion. I tried to download "minitones", but the site it's on requires you be a member to download. I have registered, but they won't send me the confirmation e-mail to complete my membership

I was able to download minitones and get it on my phone. Only probelm with this is that it looks for mp3's on an SD card. The ringtone I downloaded is an mp3 in my PocketTunes player and I can't export it from there. Anyway, thanks to tymerock, I should be able to get this done. Thanks again peeps!

I seriously must not be smart enough to have purchased this smartphone
I imported the mp3 ringtone to iTunes, converted it to AAC and dragged it to my desktop where it is an m4a file. I e-mailed it to (my cell phone number) @vzwpx.com. I received it on my phone as a text message with attached sound media file that won't play.
