are unknown numbers just blocked ids, or are they numbers that aren't in your contacts too? I have ringo too, but i am a big fan of volume care and launcher x so i will probably delete that in favor of this. now if you guys could only get me something to increase bluetooth earpiece volume on my 700p and i would be set.

The best encoding is 128k but rate with a sampling rate of 16000. Could you send me a few of the mp3's that have playback issues so I can see if it is a problem on your Treo or an issue with the mp3's. I might be able to improve things for you! Please send them to: support AT GoTreoSoftware.com

Absolutely. If you can diagnose my problem & make my tones sound good, I'll buy the program

    2) I still do not know what you mean by keep private numbers hidden. By this do you mean, you don't want to see them in the contact list within RingCare? So when a person calls that has a number marked as private, they should just get the KNOWN caller ringer?

    Jeff

it happens after i enter contacs. i select a name then soon as i push edit it resets treo 100% of the time.

as for keeping contacs hidden. juss imagine i dont use ringcare. now in contacts if i goto security and select hide records. all contacts i have marked private will not show. now inside ringcare the contacts that are supposed to be hidden are not. allowing for private contacts tobe shown. so again the results are shown as contacts marked private in main contacts list are hidden but not in ringcare .

With RingCare, you can boost the volume of your ringtones and your phone conversations!

    Jeff
Can you expand on this? The second sentence implies that RingCare alone will boost the volume. Is that what you meant? Or do I need to buy VolumeCare and RingCare to use MP3 ringers and boost their volume (beyond the basic Treo limits)?

If it is necessary to buy VC, which version?

I'm out of my mind. But feel free to leave a message.

This is very odd. It only happens with RingCare enabled?

Thanks for the detailed explanation! I understand and I will implement this in RingCare in the very next release. The next release should be out within the next few days!

Unknown means that the incoming number is not in the contacts database.

    Thanks for the support!

Not sure what you mean. Today RingCare supports the assignment of unique tones for evey contact in your database for both phone and SMS(aka text) messages. A user just asked if I could extend RingCare's contact support for SMS to also include recognition of email addresses. I am working on this and will ahve something ready by as early as tomorrow or the next day.

I just posted the new version that fixes:

    1) CDMA incoming MIDI calls
    2) Text message support
    3) Private records are now hidden

Ok. The CDMA - still not an issue and works fine with MIDI and MP3 files.

    Text messages - ok.

Individual volume & default volume settings work.

    Private records are hidden.

A bit on the pricier side, but looks like a nice app.

At $29.95 it is priced the same as the other leading ringtone managers. The price goes up by $10.00 if you also want to Desktop addition to create your own ringtones.

So you want a special "Unknown" entry?

This can be tricky but it can be done if I could get some help from people with different Treo models and carriers. I need to know exactly what the text strings are displayed on the Treo when a call is coming in for:

    No Caller ID
    Blocked Caller
    Etc.....

I am thinking it may be different based on the model of Treo and the carrier.
