ON the treo 650, and the 680 - If I wrote a long sms (more than 160 characters) and it would just divide the sms into 2 or 3 (or more) individual sms messages....

BUT ON THE 755 - I am only able to write a message that is EXACTLY 160 characters or less.

Anyone know a way around this? I checked the preferences, but could not find anything.

If others have noticed the same thing please acknowledge , thanks.

That is prolly because you were on a GSM network (as noted by the 680)

On my Treo 680, I cannot add one more character than 160. I wonder how I can't add more than 160 & you can.
I use SMS Scheduler (allows you to send a msg at a given date & time) if my message is longer than 160
