    With WM it syncs calendar, contacts, e-mail, notes, tasks. Since it is in the mail section, I'm not sure what it actually syncs - can you please clarify? Our server doesn't have a public cert since none of our other PDAs require one - I realize they are only $20 at godaddy, I just want to know what the 755 can do. Anyone here have one synching with exchange?

    Thanks

    I've been using ActiveSync for a while now. It does a great job of syncing Outlook calendar, contacts, e-mail, notes, tasks.

    The 755p is a Palm device. EAS only syncs e-mail, calendar and contacts. It does NOT do Notes and Tasks.
    3 Sharp Wizards (who can remember the model #'s anymore?) -> REX -> PalmPilot -> PalmPilot w/1 MB Upgrade -> Palm V -> Palm Vx -> Palm m505 -> Treo 90 -> Treo 600 (Sprint) -> Treo 650 (Sprint) -> Treo 700p (Sprint) -> Treo 755p (Sprint) -> Centro (KB & Batt too small) -> Treo 755p & Black Centro

    Current "essential" programs: Chatter, 2day, TakePhone, SplashID, PalmPDF, 4Cast, DA, GoogleMaps, BackupMan, PowerHero, KeyCaps, LudusP, mSafe, TextPlus, VolumeCare, ePocrates, zLauncher.

    Great to know - I appreciate the info.

    I noticed on the back - towards the bottom there was a springy type button - what is that for?

    Battery compartment release?

    Oh- good to know. Thanks.

    BTW - I've heard conflicting rumors about ActiveSync on the Palm side accepting godaddy certs - by any chance do you know if they accept them for exchange?

    Yes. I use a GoDaddy cert (the cheap one for like $20/year) in order to use EAS with my Exchange 2003 server.

    Thanks - works fine for me with WM - but I saw a couple of posts saying the Palm's had problems with it.

    My bad. You are absolutely correct. No notes, No tasks. Everything else does function well with activesync.
