I have the updated palm software and im trying to use callfilter. It half works on blocking SMS and it totally doesn't work for blocking incoming. Is there a better alternative?

Lightwav 2. Get it from Toysoft here: http://www.toysoft.ca/lightwav.html or get the latest beta here: http://mytreo.net/forum/index.php/to...html#msg399579.

Call Block works really well for me. I would recommend it. Just upgraded too!

Yea Call Block works a treat. Seems to block call a lot quicker than than lightwav most of time before the caller hears a ring it goes to voicemail.

With lightwav it always rang several times which then just seems to people that you see who it is then reject them.

CallFilter is in beta at this time for the 680 series and its downside is speed. Hopefully Rob will get that going. Of the three, I like CallFilter the best...

LightWav does a good job, but it so many things that it is almost at the point of being too much.

Call Block works well, handles MP3, WAV and a few other formats. The SMS notification function is still ring-tone based, but work is planed to have it handle it via card based MP3, WAV, et cetera.

Support with both products is excellent.

    bclinger,

Didn't you know CallFilter is dead, has been dead for several months? MTDN finally pulled the plug on that one.

I do agree it was the best, no qualifications required. Now, CallBlock is rapidly getting to the spot once occupied by CallFilter...

    Game over!

Rob is back to working on it. I have not encountered any reset problems, just slow operation. As for Call Block, it is a mature application with room to grow. The developer, Wang, has done so much with this application that it is nothing like the original application. In fact, the major players in this arena are all rapidly evolving their applications. When I tried LightWav not too long ago I was blown away with it.

So it was me who hadn't heard that development has been restarted. That's very good news.
